I began to become interested in dance way back when I first saw Steve Martin dance with Bernadette Peters in "Pennies from Heaven".
However, it wasn't until I saw this video that I actually saw myself dancing a Pas de Deux.
"Love Letters" is directed by Chester Whitmore and stars Marcia Irvin, Erik Capek and Chester Whitmore.

Chester Whitmore taught a beginning tap class at Los Angeles Community College this semester (Fall '07). This is the final performance of that class after 4 months of study with Mr. Whitmore. This was the first time most of these students had ever taken a tap class.
It was recorded December 13, 2007 in the Camino Theatre at Los Angeles Community College in Los Angeles, CA.

Baby, Work Out!

It's been a year since Felicia and I performed this at the Trade Tech Dance Ensemble "Reunion 06" show, September 30, 2006, at Trade Tech College in L.A.
In the interim, she had a new baby and moved to Lancaster. I just happened upon this clip today, and it reminded me of what a fantastic, and fun, dancer she is.
This is my tribute to her.

Bli Blip Redux

In 1942, Duke Ellington produced a music video titled "Bli Blip" starring Carl White and Maria Bryant. I saw this and fell in love with it. In August 2006, Gloria and I tried to re-create the dancing in that video. Never got it quite right. This is our last recorded rehearsal. I just found it and thought I'd share.
